4.1 Anti-Harassment & Discrimination The Company is committed to providing a work environment free of any form of unlawful harassment or discrimination. Harassment or unlawful discrimination against individuals based on race, religion, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition including medical characteristics, marital status or any other classification protected by local, state or federal laws is illegal and prohibited by Company policy. Such conduct by or towards any employee, contract worker, customer, vendor, or anyone else who does business with the Company will not be tolerated. Any employee or contract worker who violates this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of their employment or engagement. To the extent a customer, vendor or other person with whom the Company does business engages in unlawful harassment or discrimination, the Company will take appropriate corrective action. As a condition of employment with the Company, all employees must complete harassment training and sign the policy form. Non-Discrimination To provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at Midwest Fastener Corp. will be based on merit, qualifications, and abilities. Midwest Fastener Corp. does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices because of color, race, nationality, sex, religion, age or disability. Midwest Fastener Corp. will provide reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with known disabilities unless doing so would result in an undue hardship. This policy governs all aspects of employment, including selection, job assignment, compensation, discipline, termination, and access to benefits and training.
Employees with questions or concerns about discrimination in the workplace are encouraged to bring these issues to the attention of their supervisor. Employees can raise concerns and make reports without fear of reprisal. Anyone found to be engaging in unlawful discrimination will be subject to disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Harassment, Including Sexual Harassment All actions, words, jokes, or comments based on an individual’s sex, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic will not be tolerated. As an example, sexual harassment (both overt and subtle) is a form of employee misconduct that is demeaning to another person, undermines the integrity of the employment relationship, and is strictly prohibited. In keeping with Midwest Fastener Corp.’s commitment to provide a work environment free of discrimination and unlawful harassment, the Company has established a harassment (including sexual harassment), prevention policy, resources, and additional/continuous training program. Any incidents of sexual or other unlawful harassment should promptly be reported to the employee’s supervisor or human resources. If the supervisor or human resources is unavailable or the employee believes it would be inappropriate to contact that person, the employee should immediately contact the operations manager or another member of management. Employees can raise concerns and make reports without fear of reprisal. A complaint form can be obtained from any member of management. Any supervisor or manager who becomes aware of possible sexual harassment or other unlawful harassment should promptly advise human resources, the Operations Manager, or other authorized member of management to allow timely and confidential handling of the matter. Anyone engaging in sexual or other unlawful harassment will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
