4.4 Standards of Professionalism Employees are expected to comply with the provisions contained in this Handbook and are encouraged to regularly remind others of their responsibilities in complying with all personnel policies. The following actions are expected behaviors for all Midwest Fastener Corp. employees • Foster an environment of respect and trust. • Create a positive work environment by communicating in a professional manner with employees, visitors and vendors
4.5 Dress Code It is important for all employees to project a professional image while at work by being appropriately attired. All employees are required to report for work in clean clothing and footwear. All personnel should maintain good grooming and personal hygiene. An employee should take into consideration any job specific safety concerns when determining what attire is appropriate. Proper clothing, footwear, safety glasses and other safety equipment appropriate to your work environment will be used. • If given a name badge, it must always be visible • Any clothing attire that may be considered inappropriate or harassing in nature is not to be worn. Bottoms must be worn at or above the waist at all times while on Company property. Although it is not possible in a written policy to address every conceivable question on office, warehouse, or factory attire; the following should provide examples of attire the Company considers appropriate. Failure to comply with the Dress Code will result in progressive disciplinary action. Office All employees have a direct impact on the image of the Company. The dress code is Business Casual. While the Company does practice “Casual Fridays,” when meeting with clients or outside parties, Business Casual should still be worn. Acceptable Business Casual Attire would include • Skirts or dresses reaching at least mid-thigh • Professional slacks or pants reaching at least mid-calf • Shirts with collars • Turtlenecks • Professional open-toed or open-heel (i.e., sling-back) shoes
and displaying a positive attitude. • Show courtesy and respect for the dignity of other people. • Do not use profane, abusive, threatening or foul language, or display inappropriate gestures. • Respond to challenges in a proactive manner. • Comply with all Company security measures to ensure a safe work
environment. If at any time an employee has a question about their job duties, standards of performance or policies and procedures, the employee should discuss them with their supervisor, manager or the Human Resources Department.
