4.3 Inclement Weather / Emergency Closings Midwest Fastener Corp. recognizes that emergencies—such as severe weather, fires, or power failures—can disrupt Company operations. The decision to close the work facility will be made by Company management. Notification Procedures Before Business Hours If the closure is decided before the workday begins, affected employees will receive a text message notification. Employees are responsible for keeping their contact information up-to-date with Human Resources.
Progressive Discipline and Termination • Employees who receive two (2) written warnings within a twelve (12) month period or three (3) disciplinary actions within a twenty-four (24) month period may be subject to termination. • Prior to termination, the employee will participate in a Termination Conference / Review to assess performance, attendance, and any extenuating circumstances. • The purpose of the conference is to ensure that all relevant factors
are considered before a final termination decision is made.
*Immediate Family Includes • Employee’s spouse • Employee’s children
During Business Hours If the closure occurs after the workday has started, employees will be notified by their direct supervisor.
