4.5 Dress Code All employees are expected to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance appropriate for their work environment. Clothing and footwear should be in good condition, and employees should practice good grooming and personal hygiene. Safety always comes first. Employees must wear any required protective gear, including appropriate footwear, safety glasses, or other personal protective equipment (PPE), when their job duties require it. General Guidelines • Clothing should be suitable for a professional workplace and free of offensive or inappropriate graphics or language. • Name badges, if issued, must be worn visibly while on company property. • Employees are expected to use good judgment in their choice of attire. Office Employees Office employees should wear business casual clothing that presents a professional image. On Casual Fridays, employees can wear comfortable, clean, and neat clothing appropriate for the office setting. If meeting with clients or external partners, business casual attire is required regardless of the day. Warehouse / Production Employees Employees in warehouses or production areas should dress safely and comfortably for the work being performed. Clothing should allow for ease of movement and meet all safety requirements, including close-toed shoes and any PPE required for the work area. Failure to comply with these expectations may result in disciplinary action.
Pay for Time Off • Employees who report to work and are sent home due to an emergency closure during the workday will receive full pay for that day. • Employees permitted to leave early during business hours due to severe weather will generally have this time unpaid, unless they choose to use available paid time off (PTO). • If the facility is closed before the workday begins, time off is unpaid, but employees may use available PTO if they wish to receive pay. 4.4 Standards of Professionalism Employees are expected to comply with the provisions contained in this Handbook and are encouraged to regularly remind others of their responsibilities in complying with all personnel policies. The following actions are expected behaviors for all Midwest Fastener Corp. employees • Foster an environment of respect and trust. • Create a positive work environment by communicating in a professional manner with employees, visitors and vendors
and displaying a positive attitude. • Show courtesy and respect for the dignity of other people. • Do not use profane, abusive, threatening or foul language, or display inappropriate gestures. • Respond to challenges in a proactive manner. • Comply with all Company security measures to ensure a safe work
environment. If at any time an employee has a question about their job duties, standards of performance or policies and procedures, the employee should discuss them with their supervisor, manager or the Human Resources Department.
