WG was also able to expand eligibility by changing a USDA rule that limited the types of farm owners who can receive funds. • • • WG joined dozens of industry organizations in supporting the Center for Produce Safety’s fundraising campaign to expand produce safety research. With a goal to raise $15 million over the next 5 years, WG committed to donating $1 million to move the needle on fresh produce food safety research. • • •

WG has been active in pushing for essential worker priority when vaccines are allocated. WG has signed on to several coalition letters advocating that after frontline healthcare personnel, critical workers in food and ag be included in the next phase of vaccinations.
