states who try to tell us that these passages are speaking about the church. If they are then what do we have to do with a passage like this in Matthew 24, “Them that are in Judea flee unto the mountains.” Now you and I in southern California are not in Judea. What are we doing about praying that our flight be not in the winter, neither on a Sabbath for that makes us legalists. That makes us Sabbatarians. Definite ly not. Passages in Matthew 24 that speak of, “I will gather up the elect.” For instance in verses 21 to 31. Those passages refer to the elect nation Israel. Don’t forget that Israel was chosen for earthly blessings before the church was ever chosen for heavenly blessings and you can find very definitely that Israel was chosen from Deut. 14:1, “You have I chosen from among all the nations of the earth.” My dear friend if we are going to mix up Revelation 13 and 14 as being in the church age and Matthew 24 and 25 as being in the church age, well then, of course we’ll get the church in the Tribulation but neither one of those passages has anything to do with our church age. Remember when the dis ciples asked our Lord in Matthew 24 “. . . when shall these things be?” that means when not one stone would be left upon another of the temple. “. . . and what shall be the sign of thy coming . . .” (His visible coming.) They didn’t know about any other kind of coming and the end of the age—What age? The age in which they were liv ing. They didn’t know about any other age. They didn’t even believe that Christ was going to be crucified. They wouldn’t let themselves believe it, therefore it was very unlikely that they would know any truth that was built on the death of our Lord Jesus or His burial or upon His resurrection and Scripture states more than once that after these things happened. The state ment is that when it did happen then they remembered that He had told them. No, my dear friend, these pas sages do not refer to the church. They

do speak of the tribulation. They show that Israelites and saints saved from Israel will be in the Tribulation but not saints of this age. Q. Well we have but little space left so let's look at this question from Rancho Cordova, Calif. Dr. Feinberg a listener says if the Jews think that the Messiah is still coming, do they believe it will be God or do they believe that God would send someone in the person of His Son? A. That’s a very good question that our friend is asking and the Jews do believe Messiah is still coming but as to wheth er he will be God or that God will send someone in the person of His Son is an altogether different matter. Orthodox Judaism or any branch of Judaism does not believe in the Person of the Son of God as we find Him in the Old and in the New Testament. If you’ll read through the gospels you’ll find there was a certain ambiguity, or uncertainty in the thinking of the Jews and that has leveled through unto this hour. There are some statements of the rabbis, cer tain opinions stated by the rabbis that would indicate that Messiah is to be born a supernatural being, on the other hand some feel He is just going to be a normal son of David. They were confused but if they had harkened unto the Lord Jesus, He would have shown them that He was deity and humanity in one Person. You see that had never happened in the world before and they were somewhat in the dark and then when they had their hearts hardened and wouldn’t receive the One who was, no wonder there is a certain blinding unto this hour. * * * "God has an onlySon,yet He made Him a missionary/'
