T h i s , a n exhortation by the Apostle Paul, was given in the long ago; but God’s Word is ever fresh in its exhortations and guidance for the present hour. In the past few weeks, I have had the privilege to stand and personally look across the fields of missionary harvest in the Orient. How it rejoiced our hearts to meet Ambassadors of the Cross who received their training in

the halls of BIOLA, and are now out on the front lines of service proclaim­ ing the unsearchable riches of Christ. The purpose of our trip was to meet with members of the Council of Em­ manuel Church in Hong Kong. As a background, the Bible Institute of Los Angeles carried on an extensive train­ ing program for nearly half a century in China, Hunan province. Through these past years, until 1950, hundreds of young people were prepared as na­ tive pastors, evangelists, and dedicated workers. (Continued on next page) 23
