Exotic Wildlife Association - Fallow Auction followed by the Grand Auction [8/8/25]

MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR EWA’s 2025 Conservation Extravaganza is finally here. This appears to be EWA’s largest meeting ever and it is my pleasure to welcome you and to thank you for joining us at this important conference. Let us not forget that while we are here at the beautiful Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas, networking, learning and having fun, there are still many fighting to recover from the devastating flash floods in the Texas Hill Country and surrounding communities. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost so much and are continuing to rebuild their homes and lives and recover from the pain of losing loved ones. To remember and support those who are still suffering, we have several auction lots where 100% of the proceeds will go to support Camp Mystic and other local organizations that are aiding in the clean up and rebuilding effort. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Exotic Industry Icon and EWA board member Don Tarpey, whose important and lasting impact on EWA will be missed by all; to honor his legacy, multiple auction lots will donate 100% of proceeds to the Don Tarpey Scholarship Fund. This conference would not be possible without the generous support of our annual sponsors, event sponsors and exhibitors. We have several new, first time sponsors in addition to those who have supported EWA for years and have become part of our family. I hope you will take time to recognize and thank all of our sponsors and exhibitors for their generous support. Please visit their exhibit booths, learn about their products, services and how they can help your animals and your business. Please take a few minutes to review the educational sessions EWA is offering at this conference and plan to attend as many as you wish. In addition we will have speakers before dinner on both Friday and Saturday night discussing our federal legislative activity, the upcoming exotic animal industry economic impact study and our conservation related activities. This would not be an EWA event without our Elite Registry Auction, and Grand Auction on Friday and Exotic Conservation Auction and raffle drawings on Saturday. In total we will have more than 200 high quality auction lots including a number of very special animals. Get your raffle tickets from our raffle sales team at the golf tournament on Thursday and at dinner and the auctions both nights. EWA is excited to offer this conference and we are pleased that you have chosen to join us. I want to offer a last thank you to the EWA Board of Directors, our Convention Committee and particularly EWA’s professional staff for their guidance, support and hard work.
