It was an honor to receive the highly coveted “Home of the Year” award on Thursday, June 26th for our awesome mountain theme ranch style home in Succasunna, NJ..! My wife, Karen, and I designed this home for ourselves, around our lifestyle. The front of the home features curved timber trusses, log columns and natural stone. All three exterior doors have zero steps for easy access. There is a Lanai at the rear of the home highlighted by a Rumford stone fireplace, built-in barbeque, natural stone patio, timber trusses, knotty pine ceiling, log columns and plentiful seating. Inside the home is a Great Room, open to the Kitchen and Dining Room – perfect for entertaining. Some focal points are the Rumford fireplace, log mantle, antler chandelier in the Great Room, cedar twig stair railing in the Foyer and live edge bookshelves in the Study. The Master Suite boasts a cathedral ceiling with log collar ties, his and hers walk-in closets and a large shower adjacent to the whirlpool tub in the Master Bath. There are two guest bedrooms on the opposite end of the home, each with their own full bathroom. I believe that large ranch style homes will become more popular in our market area as the population continues to age.
