Welcome to our summer issue of ELEVATE: Field Guide to the Plateau. There is

something exciting about this season in Highlands and Cashiers. The mountains are in full color, and the community settles into the rhythm that makes summer here so memorable. I have also been spending more time at Old Edwards Reserve at Lake Keowee, and I have enjoyed getting to know the community and its members more personally. This issue also marks a fresh chapter for ELEVATE. With new creative leadership guiding the magazine, we have taken the opportunity to update its look, refine its voice, and think more intentionally about the stories we share. While the design may feel new, the purpose remains the same. We want these pages to celebrate the people, places, traditions, and relationships that make the Plateau extraordinary. We begin with the Highlands Motoring Festival, an event our family and firm have been proud to support since its early years. What started as a local gathering has grown into a nationally respected festival without losing the small-town character that made it special. Its success is a wonderful example of what can happen when passionate volunteers, generous supporters, and a close-knit community work together with a shared purpose.
