Holyoke Parks and Recreation Department Holyoke Parks and Recreation seeks to develop and promote a wide variety of recreational opportunities and to encourage and inspire all Holyoke residents to come out and play in Holyoke. A listing of City parks, recreational facilities, sport organizations and sports venues can be found on our website.

There are several opportunities for youth to participate in organized sports throughout the year. If you have any further questions or would like your organization listed, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department.

Homework House Inc.

Homework House offers FREE, individualized tutoring and mentoring for children in 6 - 13 years old at our sites on North Summer Street, and Chestnut Street. Our program runs M - F from 3PM - 5:45PM during the school year. M - Th the kids work with their tutors on homework and improving their reading and math skills. Fridays are for fun, academically - focused enrichment activities. Summer Readers & Leaders is Homework House’s summer program for kids who are going into 2nd - 4th grades. The children work with credentialed teachers on improving their reading and writing skills. But it’s not all work! Traditional summertime activities take place after lunch. And, like all
