Massachusetts Fair Housing Center
The Massachusetts Fair Housing Center provides free legal services and accepts housing discrimination complaints based on race, national origin, color, ancestry, religion, sex, disability, presence of minor children, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, marital status, military or veteran status, receipt of public assistance, including Section 8 housing assistance, receipt of housing subsidies or rental assistance, and genetic information. MFHC can assist families with children who have been discriminated against due to the presence of lead paint and assist tenants with disabilities in receiving needed reasonable accommodations and modifications. MFHC also provides housing mobility counseling to families with Section 8 or other mobile vouchers seeking to access housing opportunity. Finally, MFHC is available to provide educational fair housing training to landlords, property managers, service providers, community groups and others. Our services are provided in Spanish and English. Interpreters for other languages are available upon request. We are committed to providing full language access.

We strengthen and promote mentoring and youth development programs by assessing programmatic needs and customizing strategies that foster healthy youth/adult mentoring relationships. We are proud to serve western Massachusetts and have done so in the following ways: Holding events through MMP Connects: We provide quarterly critical training for over 30 youth mentoring and youth - serving organizations in Western Mass. Attendees explore topics such as Critical Mentoring, Serving Immigrant Youth, How to Engage Family/ Caregivers, Diversity and Cultural Responsiveness and how to best support youth struggling with the effects of trauma. Helping to strengthen school based programs: We offer training and consulting to a variety of community based organizations and school systems including those based in Springfield and Holyoke. Community Partnerships: We are proud to work with the Hampden County Sheriff's Department, the Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative and many others.
