2021 Annual Report (Callanwolde Fine Arts Center)

Gallery

Each year Callanwolde presents a dynamic schedule of thought- provoking, inspiring, and innovative exhibitions. Drawn from a broad range of cultures, styles, and art forms, the exhibits showcase the finest works of art and treasures from local artists in the community.

2021 Juried Exhibition 16 Atlanta artists selected by juror Peter Ferrari. Stephen Eidson won the solo exhibition.

2021 Faculty Exhibition Composed of 16 Callanwolde artists and instructors in Painting, Mixed Media, Pottery, and Ceramics, the show seeks to highlight the great artistic accomplishments of some of our brilliant creators. "Freedom Isn’t Free" by Jerushia Graham Graham is a highly skilled artist and arts educator (she’s even taught at Callanwolde!) whose work demonstrates her keen eye for symbolic color theory, narratives of human introspection, and contemplations of race and privilege. This show, which included Graham’s American Flag series, “From Where I Stand” prints, and more, sought to evoke feelings of compassion and curiosity in viewers as the lives and legacies of Enslaved Africans and People of Color in America are examined and shared.

'REFLECTIONS" Photographic exhibit by African Americans for the Arts (AAFTA).
