Meet Cynthia! Cynthia came to National after suffering nerve damage following a total hip replacement. The Nerve Damage left her with a partially paralyzed leg and she became dependent on a walker and her family to move around. Our therapists used a variety of treatments, such as aquatic therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and exercise to help Cynthia regain her strength and improve her quality of life. KNEE EXTENSION STRETCH While sitting near the edge of a chair, tighten your top thigh muscle to press the back of your knee downward towards the ground. Repeat 6 times on each leg.
