White organic light emitting diodes of red emitting octa-coordinated tris(β-diketonato) europium(III) ternary complex Muhammad S. Khan : msk.squ.edu@gmail.com;msk@squ.edu.om; [1] complex [hexafluoroacetylacetone; Hhfaa & 2-(4-Thiazolyl) benzimidazole; TB-Im) has been synthesized and characterized. The structure, established by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the coordination sphere is composed of a EuO 6 N 2 core (octacoordinated). Continuous shape measures (CShMs) revealed that the geometry around Eu(III) is trigonal dodecahedral with an approximate D 2d symmetry. The complex exhibits pure red emission with large photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY () = 47.00%). Finally, it was employed as an emitting layer (EML). At 4 wt% doping concentration, it displays white electroluminescence (EL) with the brightness (B) = 364.1 cd/m 2 at very low turn-on voltage (V turn-on ) = 4.6 V. References 1. R. Ilmi, J.
