PEDESTRIAN EXPERIENCE The Pedestrian Experience sections of this analysis involves creating an intentional pedestrian network along East Berry Street and in the study area that strives to provide residents improved safety and access to schools, parks, transit service and other opportunity destinations by foot. Incorporating pedestrian mobility in the transportation network plays a vital part in making the East Berry Street study area a safe, healthy, walkable community. This section will identify the sidewalk gaps that the City should prioritize. The Fort Worth Active Transportation Plan (ATP) Pedestrian Experience Index (PEI) was used to identify the current sidewalk condition in the study area. As shown in the Foundation Report (see Appendix D) of this project, 62% of the study area roadways are missing sidewalks.
