to take over at least until things got straightened around and he was able to take over again. His wife was notified as to what happened and was urged to come home and to bring Mark Jr. and his family along too. Soon things began to happen that became the talk of the countryside. Folks just could hardly believe it. In the Greyberville n ew s p a p e r were printed all the names of folks with whom Mark “ Grabber” had done business and treated unfairly. They were all asked to come to Ids Home Ranch so that he could make things right. Whatever wrong he had done he wanted to make right. Such a deal was never heard of but Mark was sure that’s the way it had to be since he was a Christian. He was the talk of the country once again, but in a different way. Grey- ber had ceased to be Grabber. Before long Mrs. Greyber, Mark Jr. and his family arrived, and they were very appreciative about the wonderful change at home. For the first time there was real joy and happiness in every way but one. That was because Charlie refused to join them in the big change. He remained in town and still pre ferred to go his own way. Greyberville had no church. Up until then the subject of having one had never been of any concern to anyone who could do something about it. But now it was different. Mr. Greyber was a Christian and his son was a preacher. At first, Mark Jr. wasn’t sure that he wanted to remain even if a church was built. But after think ing and praying about it he decided that he was needed more in the

West than in the East. That was cause for additional rejoicing at the ranch. By then things were pretty well straightened out and Mr. Greyber was back on the job full time. I was tempted to be on my way but decid ed to stick around until the church was built. With a lot of voluntary help, it didn’t take very long. It was a great day when it was finished. I’ll never forget the first Sunday it was opened and dedicated to the cause of Christ and to serving the community. A f t e r the morning service a big barbecue took place. It was all free to the public. Every one was a guest of the Crooked River Land and Cattle Co. The next day back at the ranch, I told Mr. Greyber that I didn’t feel I was needed any more and so I’d be on my way. “ I’m sure glad that you came along in answer to my father’s and mother’s prayers. If you could see your way clear to stay, we’d be mighty glad to have you. However, if you think you have to go, be sure that as you are on your way, we’ll be praying that God will use you in helping someone else as you have helped us,” the aging rancher said as he clasped my hand. “ That goes for me too,” Mrs. Greyber said, “ and please keep praying for Charlie,” she added with a concerned mother’s plea. As I climbed on Deerfoot, I promised that I would and reluctantly rode away. And now, boys and girls, I have to leave you too, for once again it is time for me to be on my way from the story Round-Up. See you next month. END.
