The Drawing Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, creative learning organization that brings art and the benefits of creating art to the entire community. The Drawing Studio offers affordable fee-based and free classes and workshops, hosts events and exhibits, and fosters awareness of the positive effects of creativity on individuals. The mission is to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to embrace art practice as a pathway to personal growth and a healthy community. PCOA and The Drawing Studio proudly partner to feature original work by older artists in Pima County in Never Too Late , celebrating and showcasing the creativity of older adults in our community. community as a draftsman and designer for 30+ years. Growing up I was taught sewing, crafting and needle arts. Quilting offered a colorful outlet and was a focus of mine for many years. I joined The Drawing Studio in 2020 as a volunteer and found an exciting new world of color and creativity. This painting is one of many I’ve created in the numerous classes I’ve taken there. I’ve named the painting you see on the cover, “Mountain Forest”. Barbara Pearson
