Incoming kindergarten and first grade show strong math readiness for the Beginning of Year 2024/25: Kindergarten Math MAP RIT 72.67% First Grade Math MAP RIT 74.07% Second Grade Math MAP RIT 58.79% First and Second Grade foundational math fact fluency (addition and subtraction) greatly improved in both accuracy and strategy from Winter 2023/24 to Winter 2024/25. Students maintained their foundation fact fluency from end of first grade to beginning of second grade. More students in grades K-2 are achieving the 80% or higher benchmark on the common assessments. Need common assessment data for every unit. Third and fifth grade show an increase in Math RIT Scores between the Beginning and Middle of the current SY. Grade 3 (+5.8) Grade 5 (+11.48) Grade 4 (-5.68) Incoming third through fifth grade Fall 2024/25 Math RIT Scores are decreasing. The % of Grade 5 students who reached the MAP Quantile benchmark has increased (+25.74) from the beginning to middle of this SY. Fourth Grade math foundational fact fluency (multiplication and division) improved in both accuracy and strategy from Winter 2023/24 to Winter 2024/25. 60% or fewer students in grades 3-5 are achieving the 80% or higher benchmark on most of the common assessments. Third grade Unit 1 improved from 56% last SY to 81% this SY. Need common assessment data for every unit. Sixth and eighth grade show an increase in Math RIT Scores between the Beginning and Middle of the current SY.
