The term “engaged” is used throughout our plan as an essential component of our success. Engaged: Engaged staff design educational experiences that foster engagement with the content, the work, and one another. They build meaningful relationships with students to create a supportive learning environment that enhances student success. They work collaboratively to offer high-quality experiences for our students and are the facilitators of learning in every classroom. Engaged students embrace learning opportunities, seek to understand the content, and commit to pride in their learning tasks. They attend school regularly, recognizing that consistent participation is essential for growth and success. They contribute to discussions, ask questions, build relationships with peers and staff, and work with each other to achieve learning goals. Engaged community members support student learning and staff initiatives. They ask questions to understand. They work with the school as partners in the growth and development of our students. They can provide opportunities for authentic application of learning in and around our community.
