Instructions for: Press-Mug Press Tumbler
1 | P a g e
Elements you can buy for the press at JG.
WARNING and IMPORTANT to note:
- Do not heat the machine without the correct size/type of mug inside. - For a bigger quantity of mugs/bottles you need to press, make sure you switch the press off to cool down after every 10 mugs. - When the printing is just finished and the element is still hot. You can put in a tumbler/mug to absorb the heat, which can extend the lifespan of the heater. - Use the correct size mugs/tumblers/sports bottles in the correct element. The element will burn out if you don’t use it correctly. This is NOT covered in the warranty, and the warranty will be voided if used incorrectly. - The above images will give you an indication of which type of mug/bottle to use in which element. - Don’t touch the element while the machine is on or still hot - The machine is not intended for children. - When you buy the Craft Tumbler mug press, it comes with a 20oz and an 11oz tumbler element.

Step 1: Setting the Pressure
1.1
You will set the pressure first before you switch on the press.
1.2 Insert the correct size mug or bottle you want to use to heat the press, in the correct size mug element.
1.3 It's best to have one bottle or mug per element, that you will always use to heat your press before you start pressing. We normally put a blank piece of normal copy paper around the mug/bottle and use this mug/bottle, over and over again to set the pressure and heat the press.
1.4 Turn the two knobs anti-clockwise to increase the pressure, or Turn the knobs clockwise to decrease the pressure.
1.5 When the mug press closes nicely and firmly on both sides of the knobs, the pressure is correct.
Step 2: Switching on the press
2.1 Remember to keep the mug/bottle inside the press when you switch on the press or heat the press
2.2 Press the green button on the right-hand side of the press to switch the press on.

Step 3. Setting the time and temperature
3.1 You will find that, when you try to press SET or the arrow buttons, to change the settings, it does not work (It's not activated yet). You will need to press the CLEAR button first, for the SET button, to activate.
3.2 Now you can press the SET button.
3.3 You will first see, SP at the top. Which is the Temperature , use the UP and DOWN arrows to set the correct temperature.

3.4 Press SET again, and you will see ST . This is the time. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to set the correct time.
3.5 Press SET for the last time. You will see how the press is busy heating up. Please keep an eye on the temperature, because the press does not beep when the temperature is reached, it will catch fire if you forget it on for a long period of time.
Step 4. Pressing a long Tumbler bottle.
4.1 If you want to do a full wrap-around print on the Tumbler. Cut out the print, and remove the lid on the tumbler. Wrap the print around the tumbler, line it up perfectly and as tight as possible around the tumbler, and secure it with heat tape.
5 | P a g e
4.2. For a full wrap-around print on the bottle, set the temperature to 190 degrees and 30 seconds. When the temperature is reached, remove the bottle that you used to heat the press, and then insert the tumbler with the print, and press for 30 seconds on the one side.
4.3. After 30 seconds have passed, you will open the press and immediately rotate the tumbler so that the side that was at the bottom of the element is now at the top, then press it for another 30 seconds.

4.4. When time is up, switch off the press or insert the next tumbler if you need to press more of them. Place the hot tumbler in the water to cool down, and remove the print.
Step 5. Pressing 11oz size mugs
5.1 5.2
I will now press an 11oz mug with the 11-oz mug element. Cut out your print and secure it firmly to the mug, with heat tape.
5.3 Insert the mug that you will use to heat the mug press (NOT THE ONE WITH THE PRINT ON). Set the pressure on the press, then switch the press on. (refer back to Step 1 at the top of the instructions).

5.4 Set the time and temperature on the press (refer back to Step 1 at the top of the instructions). Set the temperature to 190°C and the time to 4 minutes.
5.5 When the press is ready, remove the mug that you have used to heat the press, replace it with the one with the print, and then press it for 4 minutes.
5.6 When time is up, switch off the press, take out the mug, and place it into lukewarm water. Remove the print.
