WORLD BOOK DAY
The children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters for World Book Day, and we had Zog, Wednesday Adams, Miss Trunchbull, Harry Potter, a few superheroes, princesses and a fantastic Mr
Men duo join us at school. To top off our wonderful day the children enjoyed a ‘BOOKnic’ with yummy snacks
and lots of books to feast on. We were also excited to set up our ‘Book Swap Library’. A huge thank you to all who donated books and who have enjoyed swapping.
QUEX CROSS COUNTRY
Once again, we were back at Quex for two cross country events over the year. We had a fantastic turnout, as we have done in recent years. Many
of our Year 3 pupils were out for their first cross country experience. It was brilliant to see so many have a go in October and then again in March and we had plenty of impressive results. Miller and Eddy both won the Quex event during the year and were then asked to represent the Senior School at Northbourne for the Stevens and Wainman cross
country event involving Kirby students. Both were incredible, and Miller won the girls’ event. It was certainly a very impressive year for cross country.
