For several years I have been naming them for musicians or tunes. The great jazz musician Miles Davis says: “A painting is music you can see and music is a painting you can hear.” - Marc Boone Born and raised in the Palouse country, Boone received his BFA from the Museum Art School (now PNCA) and his MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He divides his time between Portland and Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula. Boone’s latest work explores the poetic connection between music and the land- scape, and was done in isolation.
