Oakridge resident, Pat Edgerton, convened this year’s show which presented over 500 original works of art from the Club’s 110 members. One of Pat’s paintings entitled Surreal was awarded a well-deserved blue ribbon of excellence by the show’s judge. The Club has organized this annual show since its founding in 1972. Victoria Day Victoria Day has been celebrated in Canada to honour Queen Victoria’s birthday since at least 1845. It is informally considered the kick-off to the summer season, a popular camping week- end, and in London, the opening weekend for Storybook Gardens and Fanshawe Pioneer Village. Colloquially named the “May 2-4 Weekend”, it occurs this year on May 18. Learn about local Victoria Day events at LondonTourism.ca Celebrating Victoria Day the British Way
