Radio News ¿S The Northwestern Bible School and Theological Seminary of Minne apolis, Minnesota, has applied for per mission to construct a new FM broad casting station. Under normal proce dure, several weeks will elapse before the Federal Communications Commis sion acts upon the application. The Lutheran Hour, currently - heard over hundreds of stations in the United States and foreign countries, is to be expanded to include Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and France. Negotiations are also under way to broadcast this program in Germany. The acquisition of these five new outlets raises to thirty-two the num ber of foreign countries which carry ; The Lutheran Hour. The Columbia broadcasting sta tion in Dallas, Texas, KRLB, has been warned by the FCC that their refusal to sell time to antiliquor interests may endanger the renewal of their license this spring. This case is being watched with real interest by the “Drys.” The Bible Institute of Los An- . geles has filed application in Wash ington for the construction of an FM station for Southern California. It will be remembered that the first , religious station in the United States, KTBI, was owned and operated by the Bible Institute of Los Angeles for nearly ten years, before- being sold. Present plans call for a 3000-watt station, with transmitter located on Mt. Wilson. In a vital and factual report, Clarence W. Jones of HCJB describes a globe-spanning project for mission ary radio stations. Emphasizing the challenge a-s well as the need, Mr. Jones presents a strong.case for the establishment of a chain of mission ary broadcasting stations around the world.

Trumpeter Gladwyn Nichols and Pianist Gordon Hooker Listeners’ Letters @ I sure want to thank you so much for the booklet, “God’s Answer to Young People’s Problems,” for it has answered several questions which I have discussed with young folks. It is just what I needed, for it is put in such a way thinking young folks who are really born again can’t help but know it is God’s answer right out of His pwn Word. I am sure en joying your talks on evolution and will be glad when they are in printed form. Hozuiam, Washington. e My work is with Chinese orphan girls. I am trying to mother eleven girls between the ages of 10 and 13. I surely enjoy the Biola broadcast in the mornings. I turn my radio on quite loud so my girls can enjoy it with me as they get ready for school. I feel it is a wonderful way to start them off to school. Los Gatos, California. • Through th° winter months, I often heard your program in the barn, where we have a radio, as I finished the morning’s chores. Now I hear it as I eat my breakfast in the house. I want you and all the folks at Biola to know that I listen regularly, and really enjpy your program Raymond, Washington.
