Makey Makey

Sessions: Monday 6D

Have you ever played a piano by using only bananas? If not, then join me as we look into the world of Makey Makey. You ask, “What is a Makey Makey?” A Makey Makey is a circuit board that encourages students to find creative ways to interact with computers by using everyday objects to replace keyboards and mouse on computers. In this session, you will learn how to make a banana piano and other fun activities that you can bring back to your classroom to use.

Congressional App Challenge

Sessions: Monday 4C Thursday 5A

Participants will learn about the Congressional App Challenge. The Congressional App Challenge would love to see all students learn to code, regardless of previous experience. They highly encourage students to participate even if they've never coded before. In 2022, 35% of our participants described themselves as beginners before entering the competition. Come and learn how students can join in on the fun!
