Meet the presenters Alisa Barber is a STEM Instructor for the Duval County Public Schools Science Department. Over the last 30 years, her teaching career has included both informal education and formal classroom teaching. After graduating from Jacksonville University with a B.S. in Marine Science, she worked for the Museum of Science and History and the Challenger Learning Center in Jacksonville, FL. Her classroom teaching experience includes middle school science as well as engineering electives in Tampa and Jacksonville. She enjoys sharing her love of Science and STEM with students of all ages!
Alisa Barber
I am a graduate from the University of Florida. My degree is in Sociology. Prior to teaching I was an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate with LifeSouth. After a few years of climbing the nonprofit corporate ladder, I decided to go back to school and become a teacher. I am certified in Elementary Education, Computer Science, and Social Sciences. I have been Computer Science and Instructional Technology for 10 years.
