Meet the presenters

Melissa Wright brings over 24 years of experience as an educator and leader to her role as Director of Community Relations and Partnerships at the Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub. As a former teacher, literacy specialist, and elementary school principal, Melissa is deeply committed to advancing STEM opportunities through the intentional integration of Literacy in education. Her professional journey is marked by a commitment to academic excellence and the creation of nurturing educational environments. At STEM2 Hub, she fosters meaningful collaborations with schools, industries, and community partners to expand access to high-quality STEM opportunities for underserved students throughout Northeast Florida.

Melissa Wright

Michael is a dedicated educator with experience as a paraprofessional, teacher, and district staff member in a Title I school district. He has worked passionately to empower students and foster a love for learning. Michael was involved in a nationally recognized STEM initiative that participated in the PEAR study and earned the first district-wide STEM Cognia certification in Florida. He is currently working with Woz ED as a STEM Specialist, applying the same approach he used in the school district. He believes that “the future is here; it’s just not evenly distributed.” Outside of his professional life, Michael is a devoted husband and the father of three wonderful boys.
