Paula Don began her career in education in Los Angeles working as a bilingual teacher before moving to Philadelphia. She worked in the School District of Philadelphia for 35 years and held many titles: elementary classroom teacher, computer teacher, director of educational technology, and director of gifted and talented education. Today, Paula works as a consultant and trainer with LEGO Education. She earned her Master’s in Educational/ Instructional Technology from USC.

With over a decade of experience at the intersection of data analytics, compliance, and cybersecurity, Rebecca Hughes is has a passion IT Governance, Risk, and Control (GRC). She has built a reputation for identifying systemic inefficiencies and implementing innovative, risk- informed solutions that strengthen organizational resilience and regulatory alignment. Rebecca holds a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University, a foundation that uniquely equips her to integrate behavioral insights into cybersecurity strategy. Her approach emphasizes the human element of risk—recognizing that understanding user behavior is critical to building a robust and adaptive security posture. In her current role at VyStar Credit Union, Rebecca leads the development and execution of a comprehensive IT GRC program, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk appetite. She also oversees the Security Awareness and Training function, where she applies evidence-based methodologies to design engaging, high-impact programs that drive behavioral change and reduce human risk. A hands-on leader and culture champion, Rebecca is passionate about empowering teams, fostering accountability, and embedding a risk-aware mindset across the organization. Her work reflects a deep commitment to operational excellence, strategic foresight, and the continuous evolution of IT governance frameworks in an ever-changing threat landscape.
