Embry-Riddle and the NTSB The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is an independent federal agency which investigates major transportation accidents, including those involving aircraft. As an institution dedicated to aviation safety, Embry-Riddle prepares our students to meet the high standards set by organizations such as the NTSB.

PROGRAMS

Master of Science in Safety Science The comprehensive M.S. in Safety Science empowers students to explore both the theoretical and pragmatic disciplines that advance the field of safety. Our program is the only one of its kind to offer both aviation safety and occupational health and safety in its curriculum. The program has gained international recognition and holds approval from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals as a Qualified Academic Program. Graduates are eligible for the title of Graduate Safety Practitioner and are eligible to pursue the Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) credential without needing to take an exam or pay an application fee.

Graduates enter the workforce with the skills to lead, train and advise on safety program implementation and compliance matters related to Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board and state health and workplace regulations.
