MVP PROGRAM & WINNERS! We all know that CCV is a special place! We are recognized as a Platinum Club and a top Workplace by the Richmond Times Dispatch because of so many team members who constantly go “above and beyond” to provide exceptional customer service. Below is a list of recent MVP winners!
Pam Thomas Fitness
I am nominating this employee for an MVP award. Over the last few months, this employee has taken on an additional role as our Community Resource person. We had old pool lounges, tables and chairs that needed a home. She researched options and when Camp Hanover was suggested, she immediately contacted them. They met with us to take a look at the donated items and were thrilled to receive them. This employee worked with Adam and Kathy in Support Services to get the furniture delivered to them before Labor Day. After the success of this donation, Youth discovered that they no longer had a need for a wooden slide that was in the play center/ youth lounge. With the re-opening of the lounge, it was
important to have this piece of equipment find a new home immediately. This employee found the Children’s Museum and worked closely with them to have it removed before the lounge opened. Not only have we been successful in donating gently used items to local non-profits but we were also successful in not filling up the landfill (or our containers). This
employee took the extra time to make these connections and to ensure that the items found new homes.
Emily Seay Special Events
The recent Tiki Pop-Up in Ollie’s was a huge success. The custom drinks engineered and phenomenal food
prepared were hits with the membership. However, the glue that brought the entire event together was furniture and staging thanks to this employee. When the concept was first born this employee was the person multiple people on the team directed me to. In the matter of one meeting she was able to take my vision and bring it to life. She took the lead on contacting vendors for plants and furniture. She spent hours working with vendors and getting schematics, layouts and quotes. Over a few weeks she collected multiple options and quotes which allowed us to create the best environment at budget. As if her work was not already above and beyond this employee really stepped in the day of the event. She volunteered to be the point of contact for the furniture and plant deliveries so I would not have to be at the club at 9 AM. She helped place the furniture and plants, providing an eye for details that created a space and feel that set the mood for the entire event. Finally, she jumped in the car and
made a last-minute trip to Target to help find tiki torches and other small table top items for the bar. In total, this employee spent over 4 hours helping me set up the event. She is an MVP for tying together all of the details to make Ollie’s a Tiki destination.
HERE’S HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS: Nominations can be submitted by:
Calling the MVP Hotline (ext. 687) OR sending an email to mvp@theccv.org What should be included in your nomination? Tell us an example of when this person went above and beyond. The more details and specifics you include, the better! Who makes the final decision? Winners are selected by a committee made up of your fellow co-workers from each area of the Club. The reward for the winners is an MVP cup and a $100 gift card! Do you know of someone who goes above and beyond and deserves extra recognition? Nominate that person for an MVP Award! Contact Kevin Harris at 804-287-1493, or kevin.harris@theccv.org, with any questions.

COAT CLOSET The CCV Cares Coat closet is another example of how CCV Cares allows employees to help employees. It is located in the Westhampton Clubhouse between the employee locker rooms. If you need a coat, take a coat. If you have a coat that you no longer need, donate it to the coat closet. Everyone should have a warm coat during the winter months.
