Thinking of Voluntary Payrolling 27 March 2017
If you are thinking of starting to voluntary payroll your benefits in kind during the 2017-18 tax year you will need to notify HMRC by registering via their Payrolling of Benefits in Kind Service.
But first talk to your payroll provider (where you use one) to establish how this process will work for you, and how much it might cost, after all this service is over and above normal payroll processing.
You will also need to take a look at your software guidance to familiarise yourself with how you will process your cash equivalent values via your payroll system.
But most importantly don’t forget to register with HMRC.

Tax-Free Childcare is amongst the offerings detailed on the childcare choices website and will be introduced on 28 April with a gradual rollout to eligible parents over 2017. The existing employer supported childcare voucher scheme will be closed to new entrants in April 2018. The new website has been designed for parents as a quick and simple way of seeing which schemes could provide support for their families and includes a childcare calculator which will allow parents to compare the government’s childcare offers.
