Apprenticeship Levy manual 23 February 2017
HMRC has added a guidance manual on the Apprenticeship Levy to their internal guidance.
HMRC manuals contain guidance prepared for HMRC staff and are published in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
The Apprenticeship Levy manual has recently been added to the collection.
The Apprenticeship Levy will be payable on pay bills in excess of £3m a year.
The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) has recently started inviting all levy-paying employers to register on the new apprenticeship service , through which you can plan, manage and pay for your apprenticeships online.
The apprenticeship service is available to all employers, whether they are subject to the apprenticeship levy or not, where they have employees in England.

National Apprenticeship Week 2017 1 March 2017
National Apprenticeship Week 2017 has the theme of ‘ladder of opportunity’ and runs from 6-10 March.
In its 10th anniversary year, during National Apprenticeship Week, employers and apprentices from across England will come together to demonstrate the many benefits that apprenticeships can bring. The week aims to encourage more employers to take on apprentices and individuals to choose an apprenticeship as a ladder of opportunity to a great career.
National Apprenticeship Week is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
