WELCOME Welcome to the 11th Annual Olmsted Plein Air Invitational ! We’re thrilled to be back with another phenomenal group of artists— each one guaranteed to inspire and excite you with their talent, draw you into the stories their paintings tell, and engage you in meaningful conversations about art. As always, we offer a robust schedule of artist talks and demonstrations throughout the week —designed to delight not just artists and collectors, but anyone who enjoys learning more about the creative process. Evening events in the exhibition gallery provide deeper opportunities to immerse yourself in the world of plein air and to experience the pure joy it brings. I want to express heartfelt gratitude to the growing Olmsted Arts family who make this Invitational possible each year. That family includes our Board of Directors, Friends of the Show, Sponsors, Award Sponsors, Housing Hosts, Volunteers, and Artist Selection Committee members. Surrounding them is a dedicated team of planners, marketers, social media gurus, IT support, and curatorial experts—each one playing a vital role. Thank you, too, to everyone who joins us—whether in person or virtually. We encourage you to purchase a painting (or maybe even two!). Why? Because this show—and the artists—depend on sales to thrive. But more importantly, you’ll be bringing home a work of art that brings lasting beauty and meaning. Don’t buy just to buy—buy because you love the piece, the story it tells, the connection you made with the artist who created it. Start—or grow—your collection of original plein air work. Once you begin, you may just find yourself captivated by this vibrant, expressive world. Welcome, and enjoy the Invitational!
Olmsted Plein Air Invitational exists due to the dedication and hard work of people who love art, are committed to producing a world class show and seek to highlight the “Best in Class” plein air painters in the United States.
