Les aînés de la région auront bientôt un nouveau choix de maison de retraite. La Résidence Simon entamera sous peu une grande transformation, qui la distinguera des autres résidences pour aînés autonomes. « Je veux que les résident.e.s se sentent comme dans un hôtel 5 étoiles », a lancé le propriétaire, Albert Bourdeau, en parlant du projet d’agrandissement et de modernisation qui transformera la résidence en centre de villégiature pour aînés. Ce projet d’envergure consiste en la construction d’une nouvelle section de 48 suites, réparties sur quatre étages, sur le côté est. Les suites de style appartement se distingueront par une finition de haute qualité. Les intéressés auront le choix de trois modèles : le loft (300 p.c.), le riverain (420 p.c.) et le rochelandais (535 p.c.). Pour ajouter à l’ambiance du centre de villégiature, la cour intérieure sera réaménagée. Les résident.e.s y trouveront une ambiance paisible grâce à la présence d’un étang avec des poissons, une fontaine, des bancs et de la musique de fond. Des travaux de modernisation et de réaménagement seront effectués aussi dans les ailes existantes. Les travaux de construction seront lancés cet automne si tout se déroule comme prévu. Les intéressés peuvent réserver dès maintenant. La direction offre un spécial pour mousser les réservations. En effet, tous les services seront inclus dans le premier loyer annuel (repas, câble, services de santé, transport, buanderie etc.) aux gens qui réserveront les 24 premiers appartements dans la nouvelle section. La direction sera présente cette fin de semaine à l’exposition commerciale qui se déroulera à l’aréna de Clarence-Rockland. Les visiteurs qui s’arrêteront au kiosque de la Résidence Simon auront la chance de participer à un tirage spécial. Le prix : un loyer gratuit pour un essai d’un mois pour une des suites dans la nouvelle section.
Seniors in the region will soon have a new choice for their future retirement home. Within a short time Résidence Simon will undertake a major renovation, which will set it apart from other retirement facilities for seniors seeking independent living arrangements. "I want people to feel like they’re in a five-star hotel," said owner/ operator Albert Bourdeau, concerning his expansion and improvement project which will transform the building into a resort style for seniors. The project includes construction of a new 48 appartement wing spread over four floors on the east side of the building. The stylish apartment suites will provide a high-degree of quality and comfort. Prospective clients have a choice of three types of suites : 300-square-foot Loft, 420-square-foot Riverain, or the 535-square-foot Rochelandais. Adding to the ambience, the building’s interior courtyard will be refitted, offering residents a quiet, contemplative viewscape featuring a fish pond, fountain, benches, and background music. Existing wings of the buildings will also undergo refitting and upgrading. Construction work begins this autumn if everything goes according to plan. Interested parties can reserve their accommodations now through a special management offer. All services will be included in the first annual lease fee (meals, cable, health services, transportation, laundry, etc.) to the people who reserve the first 24 apartments in the new wing. The management will have an information booth during this weekend’s Clarence-Rockland Expo commercial fair at the Clarence-Rockland Arena." The visitors who will stop at the booth can take part in a special draw. The prize: one month free trial in one of the suites in the new section.
