THE MAGIC OF DISNEY My Love for the Movies and Parks
For many of us, there’s nothing more magical than watching our favorite Disney movies or setting foot in a Disney theme park. Whenever we experience something made by Disney, we are filled with a sense of wonder. They allow us to reconnect with our childhood memories and imagination. And for kids, Disney is nothing but entertainment and excitement that they will continue to feel for years to come. On Nov. 18, we celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday — his first public appearance way back in 1928. I want to share some of my favorite Disney experiences with you. My favorite Disney movie of all time is “The Aristocats.” It’s a fun, musical adventure where a group of cats gets kidnapped from their home in Paris and have to find their way back home. It’s an endearing story full of adorable felines. It also teaches
It’s always cool walking through the different countries, eating food from various cultures, and appreciating the architecture. Something I did
that was really special was the EPCOT Seas Adventures — DiveQuest. They have a giant aquarium at EPCOT
that you can scuba dive in! It was awe-inspiring to dive into this 5.7-million-gallon saltwater
many life lessons about believing in yourself and overcoming any odds. I loved watching this movie as a kid. I recently watched it as an adult and found that I still enjoyed it! Since I’ve always loved Disney animation, it’s no surprise that my son grew up with it. He always enjoyed watching “The Lion King,” “Monsters, Inc.,” and “Hercules,” but his all-time favorite has to be “Aladdin.” “Aladdin” has some amazing songs and an incredible plot. My son always enjoyed it for its Middle Eastern roots and its mystical story. It teaches an essential lesson that greed is destructive, which is important for all of us to understand.
aquarium full of 2,000 sea creatures. It was really cool swimming with all of these fascinating creatures. The water didn’t move, which took away from the realism of the experience, but it’s a memory that I’ll remember and cherish for the rest of my life. Another great aspect of going to Disney parks is all of the shows you can experience. My son was never really into rides, so we spent plenty of time watching different musical performances and stage shows. It’s something you don’t get to experience very often, and seeing these elaborate shows was really enjoyable!
“To experience that magic, you
don’t need to travel to a Disney theme park. You can make magic out of any situation when you’re spending time with the people you love.”
Walking through the gates of a Disney theme park is one of the most magical moments you’ll experience in your life, but the real magic is getting to spend time with your loved ones making memories that you’ll all carry for years. To experience that magic, you don’t need
In addition to watching Disney movies, I’ve also taken a few trips to Disney amusement parks. Although I’ve never been to Disneyland, I have been to Walt Disney World a few times. One of the most fascinating things about Disney World is that it’s a paradise for families to take their children. You never have to worry about safety when you’re within the walls of a Disney theme park, and everyone in your family is guaranteed to have fun! Possibly my favorite park within Disney World is EPCOT. EPCOT is split into a few different areas. When we last went, they had areas dedicated to technology, nature, and cultures found around the world.

On the Fast Track
DON’T STAY IN YOUR ALIGNERS LONGER THAN YOU NEED TO! Nobody wants to be in orthodontic treatment for longer than they have to be. Ideally, we want to finish treatment as quickly as possible, and that’s just how we design our orthodontic plans for each patient. We develop every treatment plan with the idea that it will be quick
after eating. Set timers to ensure that you remember: Fifteen minutes for a snack, 30 minutes for lunch, and an hour for dinner, but also make sure you brush, floss, and rinse your teeth before putting your aligners back in. Once your aligners are back in, use the chewies to close the air bubbles between your aligners and teeth.
and efficient while providing our patients with the best results possible. While we do everything in our power to speed up the treatment process, there are things you should do on your own time to finish your treatment as planned. One of the most important things you can do is wear your aligners for the recommended amount of time each day. You should keep them in your mouth for 20–22 hours daily. You also need to continue brushing and flossing your teeth at least twice a day. Try to brush your aligners whenever you brush your teeth. If you cannot brush after eating, make sure you swish and swallow water before putting your aligner back in your mouth.
Additionally, you need to change your aligners as prescribed. Set reminders and make sure your
aligners fit before changing them. If you lose an aligner, move on to the next one and wear it for an entire week. Make sure you bring an extra set with you if you’re leaving home for an extended period of time.
By following these guidelines, you’ll be on the fast track toward a healthy and beautiful smile. Sometimes you can even beat our estimated end date by including VPro and Micro-Osteoperforation in your treatment plan. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
Since you need to wear your aligners for up to 22 hours each day, it’s vital that you put them back in your mouth as soon as possible

Teeth Whitening for Kids and Teens
What to Know
As kids and young adults progress through their orthodontic treatment, they often ask about teeth whitening. Everyone wants their teeth to be whiter, but certain factors need to be considered before beginning a whitening treatment, especially for children. If treatment is done too early or you try to use over-the-counter whitening strips on your child’s teeth before they’re ready, it could lead to more trouble. Children will be ready for whitening once they’ve met all three of the following criteria: • All of their permanent teeth have come in. • The enamel of their permanent teeth has fully calcified. • All orthodontic treatments have been entirely completed. If your child meets all of the criteria and you decide that they should whiten their teeth, you need to choose the correct form of treatment. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry advises parents against over-the-counter teeth whitening products, since they are still relatively new and need more studies to form a consensus among experts. Additionally, many teeth whitening strips contain a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide, which does whiten teeth but can also cause tooth sensitivity.
At our office, we offer take-home whitening using office-grade products for those that meet the necessary
criteria. If your child starts teeth whitening, there are some important reminders to consider. They should avoid
consuming stain-causing foods and drinks while attempting to whiten their teeth, as they will reduce the effectiveness of the whitening procedure. Your child also needs to brush and floss their teeth after eating. This will help maintain the whiteness of their teeth. If your child does not meet the criteria or needs minor whitening, try incorporating whitening toothpaste into their daily routine. Whitening toothpaste will help prevent staining and discoloration.
If you have any questions about teeth whitening or are interested in whitening your or your child’s teeth, give us a call today.

TOP 5 SKI RESORTS TO CROSS OFF YOUR BUCKET LIST
Temperatures are dropping and snow is falling in some parts of the country, so it’s time for some winter fun! Whether you ski, snowboard, or just enjoy the snow, here are some of the best ski resorts to check out this ski season! STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO A little less glitzy than some of the other popular ski resorts and towns in Colorado, Steamboat Springs is extremely family-friendly with a Western vibe. Because Steamboat is tucked away in the northwest corner of Colorado, the area catches snow from both Utah and Wyoming, which means you can expect some of the best skiing powder. WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT, MONTANA While Whitefish Mountain Resort was originally a sleepy, quiet, and remote ski resort, it has gained popularity over the past few years, but it still remains an under-the-radar ski destination with friendly locals and smaller crowds. For beautiful, lush Montana views and no ski lift lines, Whitefish is a must! MAD RIVER GLEN, VERMONT For an authentic, deep-mountain experience, Mad River Glen is considered the best skiing mountain in the East. One of the best features of the resort is that it has single-chair chairlifts — and no
snowboarders! The runs are long and the sights are gorgeous while providing an amazing ski run, throwback style!
ASPEN, COLORADO Aspen just had to make this list! This incredibly popular ski resort has four different mountains,
providing a wide range of terrains for all different skill levels. The ski resort town is fun, developed, and exciting as well.
DEER VALLEY RESORT, UTAH A ski-only resort, Deer Valley is a quaint ski town with legendary customer service and unbelievable Utah powder. It should be noted that the chairlifts are speedy and efficient, and the trails are well- groomed. Lift lines are nonexistent, making for an exclusive and remote experience!
