SLALOM SKIS

SKI LAY-UP

SKI WIDTH

90/10 CARBON/GLASS Carbon is extremely light and super responsive. We combine that with 10% fiberglass which dampens vibration, turning choppy water into butter and drastically increasing the life of your ski. 50/50 CARBON/GLASS Blending an equal mix of carbon and fiberglass creates a fast, responsive ski with consistent, smooth flex that won’t chatter on imperfect water. FIBERGLASS Fiberglass tech has been around since the 60’s but advancements in layup, weave, and fiberglass properties give us the consistent flex, vibration dampening, light weight skis we have today.

Narrow skis ride deeper in the water, offering more contact and control. This makes edge transitions faster and requires less leverage to achieve low angles, quick turns and explosive speed. Wide skis are necessary at slower speeds to keep the ski on top of the water and provide a stable and predictable ride. To maximize performance and control, we use the same basic features as our top end skis and tune them for less speed.

SKI FLEX

Flexibility is a critical factor to find the perfect platform for your style of skiing. By utilizing different orientations, types, and amounts of carbon and fiberglass we can fine tune the flex of each ski to perfectly suit the intended use. Our high-performance skis use carbon to provide precision and explosive acceleration. If you’re looking to just get out on the water and have a good time, our recreational skis contain fiberglass for a forgiving and less demanding ride.

BASE FEATURES

SPEED V-TECH V-Tech adapted for a faster moving ski. Curves in the “V” shaped steps disrupt more flow in the center of the tunnel and less along the edge. This reduces overall drag while maintaining edge hold. V-TECH V-Tech is the key to increased maneuverability and decreased drag. Six “V” shaped steps regulate the flow of water on the base of the ski by breaking up the wetted surface area from the front binding to the fin. In short, less water sticks to your ski as you accelerate forward. CONNELLY TRACKING SYSTEM A subtle spine feature on the tip of the ski helps keep the front tracking straight while the boat starts to pull you up on deep water starts.

SKI CONSTRUCTION

BINDING LOCATION

[A] TOP GRAPHIC Provides great looking top graphics and a layer of UV protection increasing the ski's longevity. [B] FIBER REINFORCED LAYERS Fiber layers on both sides of the core provide superior strength without compromising flex, ensuring you’ll have the power to shred slalom buoys and the responsiveness for an afternoon cruise. [C] BINDING REINFORCEMENT This layer of glass reinforces the connection between your ski and bindings, transferring response from you to your ski without any lost energy. [D] BINDING INSERTS High performance models contain #8-32 inserts giving you more threads in a smaller area. This allows a more secure connection with a shallower insert. [E] CORE At the heart of the ski is the core. High performance models have a lightweight PVC core to provide the ultimate in weight reduction and resilience. Our recreational skis use polyurethane cores to provide a stable and durable foundation. [F] BASE Not only does the base hold the graphic layer and provide UV protection, it also features specific textures to help the ski perform at its best on the water, reducing drag and directing flow where it needs to go.

Binding location is measured from tail of ski to heel of front binding.

TUNNEL SHAPE

[C]

FIN SPECS

STANDARD TUNNEL A concave feature that runs the center length of the ski, setting it deeper in the water and giving the skier more edge hold. A standard tunnel leaves flatter surface between the edge of the tunnel and the bevel, giving the ski more stability while maintaining edge hold. WIDE TUNNEL This tunnel design leaves an extremely narrow flat spot between the edge of the tunnel and the bevel of the ski. The effect is a ski that actively seeks to be on edge and is most useful for experienced skiers and buoy chasers that have above average ski control. DOUBLE TUNNEL Simply put, the double tunnel is a tunnel within a tunnel. This unique design sets the ski deep in the water and gives extra bite when on edge.
