378 The Fundamentals its fruits it may be tested. Notwithstanding the imperfections that adhere to the Christian church, so far as it is a human institution, few will deny that its existence in the world has been productive of preponderating^ good results; and on' that certificate alone it may be claimed that the Christianity of which the church is a concrete and living embodiment is no “cunningly devised fable” but a “Scripture of Truth.”
