What is/was Your Biggest Mentor or Inspiration in Your Career?
My biggest mentor was my first boss when I entered the hospitality world in a sales role. I knew nothing about hotel sales and she showed me the ropes, how to have fun yet be successful at the same time. Since then, I’ve always thought of my job/career as exciting and rewarding and hopefully I’ve inspired others in that same manner along the way.
Recent Work History….
Other than a quick 6 months at the first hotel I worked at that never actually opened, I’ve lived and breathed the Bloomington-Normal Marriott as my 2 nd home for the past 11 years. I started as a SMERF sales manager and continued to climb the ladder and get experience in all sales and catering positions at the hotel. Prior to joining the ESO, I was most recently the Director of Sales & Marketing for the past 3 years.
