A new collaboration between STIEBEL ELTRON and Solarwatt UK & Ireland is offering an innovative solution to powering homes with renewable energy. A team from Solarwatt has been training at STIEBEL ELTRON’s new Irish HQ in Blanchardstown to support the partnership, which adopts a holistic approach to maximising energy efficiency, cost savings and delivering sustainable homes. Combining STIEBEL ELTRON’s heat pump systems with Solarwatt’s solar panel technology, battery storage solutions and Manager flex energy management system, the two companies will offer a single renewable energy package with smart capabilities delivering optimisation during changing weather conditions. EM Trend provides optimised use of solar power to operate heat pumps and delivers efficient use of real energy surplus from the PV system, working alongside the Manager flex to look ahead at weather forecasts and apply dynamic adjustments in real time. For example, if cold weather is forecast, the EM Trend will store more heat in the buffer and hot water tanks to maximise efficiency and response times, helping to lower heating and hot water preparation costs. www.stiebel-eltron.co.uk / www.solarwatt.co.uk
