Pentacles from ace to ten speak of not only our quest for security but also our quest for purpose, and none more so than the Ten of Pentacles. An older father figure looks on at his family and the factory or “family business” behind them. He is enjoying the fruits of his labour and the abundance it has ensured for the future of his family, not to mention the community that relies on the work the factory offers and so on and so on…… The Ten of Pentacles is reminding us to look beyond today and make decisions that are based on the needs of our household and community. Be part of something more than ourselves . What we will gain from this will bring real satisfaction that is more than just monetary. What it will teach our children will be invaluable This card makes me want to read the poem “Desiderata” (which happens to mean – things that are desired) by Max Ehrmann. The Ten of Pentacles when looked at alone is big picture stuff. Where do you see yourself in 5 years 10 years etc. Make a baby step in that direction this month.
