LOVING COCO A BEAUTIFUL POEM RECIEVED IN MY INBOX

I don’t know how they are born to love us so completely, how their DNA

drops the chromosome of swift judgement as easily as a tennis ball, how they bury wounds like special bones and lap water from their bowls with the enthusiasm of a saint knowing they are drinking from the well of Eternity. We teach them to come and to sit and to stay, calling them commands, the softer four-legged version of the 10, and they oblige because their greatest joy is in reminding us what it is to be loved like kibble,

in every moment, in every season, in all the weather of our lives, just as we are.
