What You Need To Know

 You are eligible for benefits if you are a regular full-time employee, working a minimum of 30 hours per week.  The benefits program is also available to your eligible dependents such as your legal spouse, domestic partner and dependent child(ren) up to age 26.  Open Enrollment will be available from February 23 rd through March 8 th , 2024.  This is a passive open enrollment; current elections will carry over into 2024 with the exception of FSA/HSA elections. If you are enrolled in an FSA or HSA, you will need to re-enroll for 2024.  Open enrollment is the one time during the year that you can make changes to your benefit options without having a qualified life event.  All changes made during the open enrollment period will be effective as of April 1, 2024 .

 For the 2024 plan year, benefit elections will be completed through your ADP Workforcenow portal.  All elections and waivers must be completed by March 8 th .

What’s happening in 2024-2025?

 Medical coverage remains the same with UnitedHealthcare.

 For the HSA I plan only, there was an IRS-required increase to the plan’s in-network deductible for 2024.  HSA I: $3,200/$6,400 from $3,000/$6,000

 NEW! Dental and Vision coverage will move to UnitedHealthcare.

All other benefits remain the same.

 Employees can now receive Lupin branded or generic medications at no cost.  POS Plan participants ONLY  HSA Plan participants are not eligible unless the deductible is met.

 Your payroll deductions will remain as they are for 2024-2025.

IRS Maximum Pre-Tax Limits Increased

HSA - $4,150/$8,300 from $3,850/$7,750 .

(Amounts include Lupin’s contribution)

FSA - $3,200 from $3,050.

 FSA Healthcare Maximum Rollover - $640 from $610.

Rx Benefits Beginning April 1 st , you can receive Lupin branded or generic medications at no cost to you . This benefit will only apply if you are enrolled in the POS plan. You will not be eligible for this benefit if you are enrolled in the HSA plans unless the deductible is met. Once the deductible is met, the “no cost share” of the medication comes into effect. The current brands are: Solosec, Xonopex HFA and Brovana.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Optum Bank

Contributions may be made from other sources within the annual limits as defined by the IRS (such as bank account transfers). Employer contribution amounts deposited monthly into your eligible HSA account ($62.50 for individual and $125.00 for family). Note: The employer HSA contribution is taxable for NJ State income tax.  An HSA is a tax-advantaged account that you can use to pay for qualified health care expenses, using pre-tax dollars.

 Funds roll over from year to year – no “use it or lose it” provision.

Application located on ADP – Tools/References or go online and signup.  Optum Bank Welcome Kit will be sent 7 to 10 business days from the date enrollment materials are received.  Debit Card will arrive in a separate mailing.  HSA materials are mailedseparately from health planmaterials.  After logging on to your account for the first time, you will be prompted to provide your email address. You’ll receive an Optum Bank bi-monthly newsletter with tips for helping you to make the most of your healthcare dollars.

Flexible Spending Account UnitedHealthcare

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) You must re-enroll in these coverages annually

Healthcare FSA 

For qualified medical, dental, and vision expenses.  You can contribute up to $3,200 annually.  Available if you enroll in one of the UHC non-HSA Plans.  You can only roll over $640 for the next plan year; any remaining balance will be forfeited.

Limited Purpose FSA 

You have 90 days (June 30 th ) following the end of the plan year to submit a claim. Claims must have occurred by March 31st.

ONLY for qualified dental and vision expenses.  IRS allows Limited Purpose FSA to be used with an HSA.  You can contribute up to $3,200 annually.

Dependent Care FSA  For qualified children under age 13 and/or adult dependent care expenses (Daycare, before or after school, Preschool, Adult Daycare).  You can contribute up to $5,000 annually for dependent care expenses.  If you and your spouse file separate tax returns, you may contribute a maximum of $2,500.

Please note: you cannot enroll in the Healthcare FSA and the Health Savings Account (HSA) simultaneously. If you are enrolled in the UHC Consumer Driven Health Plan (HSA) and are participating in the HSA, you can elect the Limited Purpose FSA instead to help cover dental and vision expenses only.

Basic Life and AD&D Insurance

Lupin provides all eligible full-time employees with basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage at no cost to you with UNUM.

 The life and AD&D benefit is 2x salary up to $500,000.  You are eligible on the first day of the month following your date of hire.  You do not need to enroll.

Reminder: Make sure your beneficiary information is up-to-date .

A reminder of the process for leave of absence requests: You will need to first advise your supervisor and HR of your need to take an absence. Then, contact Unum directly to begin your FMLA/State Leave and/or disability claim process. Inform the Benefits Department (benefits@lupin.com of your last day worked and return to work date - this will affect your pay). Please inform your NJ HR team if you are in the Somerset office.

Accident

These supplemental benefits are designed to protect your family’s finances in case of an unforeseen injury or illness. These benefits are offered to you through Unum. Please visit www.unum.com for additional details. Accident insurance pays a set benefit amount based on the type of injury you have and the type of treatment you need. It covers accidents that occur on and off the job including a range of incidents from common injuries to more serious events. This plan can help you with out-of-pocket costs that your medical plan doesn’t cover, like copays and deductibles. You’ll have base coverage without medical underwriting. The cost is conveniently deducted form your paycheck. You can keep your coverage if you change jobs or retire, and you will be billed directly.

Hospital insurance helps covered employees and their families cope with the financial impacts of a hospitalization. You can receive benefits when you are admitted to the hospital for a covered accident, illness, or childbirth. The money is paid directly to you – not to a hospital or care provider. The money can also help you pay the out-of-pocket expenses your medical plan may not cover, such as co-insurance, copays, and deductibles. This plan can pay benefits that help you with the costs of a covered hospital visit. Hospital Insurance

Critical Illness

If you are diagnosed with an illness that is covered by this insurance, you can receive a lump sum benefit payment. You can use the money however you want. The money can help you pay out-of-pocket medical expenses, like copays and deductibles. Even after you receive payout for one illness, you are still covered for the remaining conditions and for the recurrence of any critical illness except for skin cancer. The recurrence benefit can pay 100% of your coverage amount. Diagnoses must be at least 180 days apart or the conditions can’t be related to each other.

Be Well Benefit

Every year, each family member who has Accident coverage can also receive $50 for getting a covered Be Well screening tests, such as:  Annual exams by a physician include sports physicals, well-child visits, dental and vision exams.  Screenings for cancer, including pap smear, colonoscopy.  Cardiovascular function screenings.  Screenings for cholesterol and diabetes.  Imaging studies, including chest X-ray, mammography.  Immunizations including HPV, MMR, tetanus and influenza.

401k Retirement Savings Plan T. Rowe Price

401k Retirement Savings Plan The Lupin 401k Retirement Savings Plan offers an easy way to save for your future through payroll deductions. For new hires, you will be able to register and receive a packet of information from T. Rowe Price (TRP) after you receive your first paycheck.  You are eligible to participate in the plan the first of the month following your new hire date and are at least 21 years old.  Lupin matches 100% of the first 3% of savings deferred and then matches 50% of the next 3% deferred up to 6%.  Vesting refers to your right of ownership to the money in your account. You are immediately vested in all contributions and earnings.

Default Investment Fund Option

You have the right to direct the investment of your retirement plan contributions by choosing from the available fund options within the TRP website. If you do not actively select your investments, your contributions will be invested in a target date fund based upon your retirement age.

401k Retirement Savings Plan

Employee Contributions

 Contributions from your pay are made on a pre-tax basis up to the IRS annual limit.  2024 maximum contribution is $23,000.  If you are 50 years of age or older, (or you reach age 50 by the end of the year), you may make a catch-up contribution in addition to the IRS annual limit.  2024 limit is $7,000 additional.

Automatic Enrollment: You will have 30 days from when you receive your packet of information from TRP to make an active election, otherwise, you are automatically enrolled at 3% of base pay, which will not apply to any bonus pay. Those automatically enrolled will have their contribution deferral increased by 1% each year up to 8%.

ADP – How to Enroll Online

You can enroll by either going online to https://workforcenow.adp.com or by ADP’s mobile app. Detailed instructions for both online desktop enrollment and mobile app enrollment can be found online in ADP under Resources>Tools/References page .  Add your dependents and beneficiaries (not just beneficiary or dependent). You will need your dependent’s social security number.  Print and review the confirmation of your benefit elections for your records.  Note: You should also receive an email confirmation from ADP.

Next Steps

 Due to the in-network deductible change for the HSA I plan, current and new enrollees in that plan will receive a new ID Card.  There will be no new ID Cards for the two other medical plans unless you are a new enrollee.  No physical ID Cards will be sent for the new Dental and Vision plans.  Members can print and/or download ID Cards to their smartphone via www.myuhc.com for Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.  For more information on your plans, please call UnitedHealthcare:

 An HSA bank account needs to be established for HSA participants and their applicable contribution amount elected in ADP.  You can update your beneficiary information at any time year-round through ADP for life and accidental death and dismemberment.
