City of Tonganoxie 2023 Adopted Budget Water Park
The Tonganoxie Water Park serves the Citizens of Tonganoxie and surrounding communities in the summer months. Staff provide swimming lessons, pool rentals, and oversight for open swim and swim competitions.

Budget Considerations
The 2023 Water Park Department budget included a specific budget enhancement of $2,000 for a lounge chair replacement program expected to be continued for future years to account for deterioration due to aging and use and lifeguard stand purchases. Additional differences in the 2022 and 2023 adopted budgets include exterior umbrellas replacement &cChlorine feed equipment replacement for a total cost estimated at $15,000. Resurfacing of the pool was last completed in 2020 using funding from the infrastructure sales tax and in 2022 a project was funded to complete refinishing and maintenance of the slide, slide support structure, and other elevated structures at the facility exposed to water.
