W e at The Physical Therapy Doctor are always looking for new ways to help folks. While we will always be committed to providing great one-on-one care, we are aware that this isn’t always an option for everyone. Each of us went into physical therapy because we wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives. It breaks our heart when we hear that people are forgoing therapy because they can’t afford it or are out of Medicare visits. No one should have to suffer from a lack of mobility, no matter their situation. So, we put our heads together and came up with a novel program to ensure that you get the care you need without breaking the bank. That’s why we’re excited to offer our Strength & Balance Small Group Training Programs. Over this six-week course, our expert physical therapists will be able to teach you exercises and stretches that will improve your ability to move with confidence. The course will be broken up into groups based on your mobility needs to ensure that you’re comfortable, safe, and that you still get the individualized attention you’ve come to expect from us. Offering these courses as a group allows our therapists to help more people at once with a reduced price. If you’ve been struggling with balance issues or a lack of body strength but have been putting off therapy, please consider this course. Our goal is to teach you the skills and exercises needed to live a happy, healthy life. SAUTÉED ZUCCHINI & SQUASH WI TH FETA

Zucchini and summer squash are arriving on grocery store shelves. Here is a great way to take these humble, delicious vegetables to the next level. This easy dish is perfect for early summer.

INGREDIENTS

1 zucchini

• • •

2 teaspoons fresh thyme 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

1 summer squash

1/2 medium red onion

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

DIRECTIONS

1. Cut zucchini into 1/4-inch-thick semicircles. Dice onion. 2. Heat a large skillet to medium high. Add olive oil, onion, and thyme. 3. Once onion is soft (about 2 minutes), add zucchini and squash. Season with salt and pepper; cook 4–5 minutes until squash barely begins to caramelize. 4. Place in serving bowl and top with feta.
