Atlanta, Georgia based Graphic Packaging Holding Com- pany has recently reported Net Income for second quar- ter 2020 of $52.1 million, or $0.19 per share, based upon 280.5 million weighted average diluted shares. This com- pares to second quarter 2019 Net Income of $63.8 million, or $0.22 per share, based upon 295.7 million weighted average diluted shares. “We delivered excellent performance in the second quarter as the company adapted to changing demand patterns resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic,” said President and CEO Michael Doss. “Sales improved four percent year over year driven by acquisitions and net organic sales growth of 1.5 percent, which was partially offset by a decline in open market paperboard sales. The recession resistant nature of our business was quite ap- parent during the quarter and I am proud of the work our employees accomplished in successfully serving custom- ers and ensuring continuity of supply globally.” Unicorr Packaging Holds Food Drive Unicorr Packaging Group held its first Uni-CARES food drive of 2020 on June 27th. Unicorr partnered with TEEG, a non-profit human service organization that provides assistance and support to families in the communities of Northeast Connecticut. Unicorr and TEEG volunteers set up a food and donation drop-off site at Unicorr’s Thomp- son facility, following precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The company pledged to match $1 for every pound of food or cash donation collected. On a hot Sat- urday with rain in the forecast, a spirited group of volun- teers collected over 2,200 pounds of food for TEEG’s food security program. Unicorr Packaging Group matched the donations and rounded up its donation to TEEG to $2,500.
