It’s also an exciting time in our family as Lincoln and Abbey tied the knot in a beautiful summer wedding a built a new home on their farm. They are also expecting their first child this summer. Meanwhile, Shelby and Noah are trying to finalize the purchase of a farm right across the road from Lincoln and Abbey where they plan to build. We are very blessed to have our family all involved in the Hereford business. Welcome friends to sale number 9 Greetings Fellow Cattlemen! We certainly are experiencing a unique time in the cattle business. Weather events in recent years, threats of foreign pests, lower feed costs, and high demand for American beef have combines to create stronger prices for our product than we have seen before. It appears this trend will continue for several more years with high quality Hereford cattle continuing to be in demand. Changes in the market are nothing new. Our family has been made up of farmers since my ancestors settled in Kentucky. We’ve been in the Hereford business for nearly 90 years and we don’t plan on going anywhere. Sound, productive cattle don’t go out of style. Today, we strive to use bulls that produce just that, whether AI sires or our pasture bulls. We’re glad to own an interest in Boyd Runway and feel he will continue to improve the bread.
