Feb. 26: Chris Thile at the Green Music Center On Feb. 26 Grammy Award–winning mandolinist, composer and MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient Chris Thile brings his genre-defying artistry to a dynamic solo performance. A founding member of Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek, Thile is celebrated for his virtuosic musicianship and inventive approach that blends classical, folk and improvisation. Performing at Weill Hall, 1801 East Cotati Ave in Rohnert Park, the program features selections from his acclaimed solo recordings of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas, alongside original works and Thile’s signature mix of compositional rigor, playful storytelling, and musical spontaneity. Feb. 21-22: Russian River Fungi Fest Celebrate the debut of the Russian River Fungi Fest, a two-day festival honoring the incredible mushroom culture of West Sonoma County on Feb. 21 and 22. Centered in Guerneville, 16209 First St., with satellite events throughout the region, the weekend features mushroom markets, hands-on workshops, foraging excursions, educational talks and mycelium-inspired networking. Winter is peak mushroom season, making this the perfect time to explore, learn, and indulge in all things fungi. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days and is designed to be free and open to all, with optional donations supporting local nonprofits and regenerative tourism efforts. Feb. 21: Festival of Olives On Feb. 21, celebrate one of the Mediterranean’s greatest treasures at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, 24724 Arnold Drive in Sonoma, during this festive olive-themed event. Stop by anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to enjoy tastings of extra virgin olive oil, tapenades, and a variety of olive-inspired offerings alongside local vendors. Food and wine will be available for purchase throughout the day, making it easy to relax and savor the flavors. Admission is free, but reservations are encouraged. Feb. 12-16: Wine & Chocolate Pairing Featuring Fleur Sauvage Celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend with a decadent wine and chocolate pairing featuring local chocolatier, Fleur Sauvage. Hosted at Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery, 10701 Westside Road in Healdsburg, this thoughtfully curated tasting highlights how Chardonnay and Pinot Noir compliment handcrafted chocolates.
