Police have seized marijuana plants valued at over $1 million from a commercial

building near St-Isidore.

Executing a search warrant at the building located on Harris Road in The Nation

Municipality, police confiscated 1,284 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, along

with an extensive amount of grow

equipment. The projected street value of the

marijuana is estimated at $1,284,000.

No arrests were made. The investigation

is still ongoing.

This was the second search warrant

executed within nine months at the location.

The seizure was carried out by members

of the Project Paradigm drug enforcement

team comprised of officers form the Ontario

Provincial Police drug enforcement unit and

Eastern Ontario O.P.P. detachments.

A 55-year-old man was airlifted to the

Civic Hospital in Ottawa Monday morning

after he suffered serious injuries in a head-

on collision on County Road 34 near Laggan,

north of Alexandria.
