EXHIBIT OPENINGS Sunday, January 28 2:00 PM Join members of the Tillsonburg Military History Club for the official opening of the first exhibit of the new year. Sunday, April 15 2:00 PM The Oxwood Hooking Artisans will be demonstrating rug hooking techniques for the opening of the Wonderful World of Wool. Friday, June 29 7:00 PM Come celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Museum as we open the Anniversary exhibit “A Few of our Favorite Things.” Friday, November 23 7:00 PM The Christmas Season officially begins this evening as we open the “Batteries Not Included” exhibit in the Pratt Gallery.
EXHIBITS IN THE PRATT GALLERY to January 7, 2018 “Made in Canada Christmas” An exhibition of Canadian made goods from the collection. January 28 to March 25 “From Soldier to Civilian: Oxford’s Own Goes to War Exhibit” An exhibition that looks at what happened when the men and women who served came home; the challenges and the changes they faced integrating back into the county. A travelling exhibit from the Woodstock Museum NHS – part of the Oxford Remembers- Oxford’s Own Project. April 15 to June 10 “Wonderful World of Wool” Featuring the works of the “Oxwood Hooking Artisans” along with woolen items from the museum’s collection and the tools used in their creation. June 29 to September 30 “A Few of our Favorite Things” Forty-five items from the museum’s permanent collection selected by staff and volunteers in honour of the Museum’s 45th Anniversary. October 9 to October 28 “Life in Miniature” A display of miniatures presented by members of Oxford Creative Connections Incorporated who express their creativity in small ways. November 23 to January 6, 2019 “Batteries Not Included” An exhibit highlighting battery operated toys and games from the 1950s to the present.
